Accepting contributions until the 1st of December, 2023. |
The Cuvette accepts general contributions on a rolling basis and prioritizes contributions related to the season’s highlighted topic (more information below).
We seek contributions for an upcoming issue of The Cuvette, focusing on the research-practice gap in science education. We invite submissions that critically examine the barriers, challenges, and potential solutions for bridging the divide between research and practice. Topics of interest include, but are not limited to:
The role of practitioner input in shaping research questions and study designs
Strategies for making research findings more accessible and relevant to educators
The impact of jargon and academic writing styles on the dissemination of research
Collaborative approaches to research, such as participatory research and professional learning communities
Aligning research agendas with the needs and wisdom of practitioners
Our goal is to create a collection of articles that inspire reflection, discussion, and positive change within the science education community. We welcome submissions from researchers, educators, and practitioners interested in addressing the research-practice gap and fostering greater collaboration between researchers and practitioners. Please submit your abstracts or full papers for consideration by the 1st of December, 2023.
We look forward to your contributions and the opportunity to advance the conversation on this critical topic.
