Who We Seek to Recruit

We are seeking ten members

for the Advisory Board...

  • Who are comfortable organizing and trying new approaches toward subverting harmful norms in academic publishing,

  • Span the disciplines of Science Education Research, and

  • Represent a variety of career stages (doctoral and post-doctoral candidates, tenure- and non-tenure track educators).

 

We highly encourage early-career Board members of communities marginalized by academic publishing to apply. 

Roles, Responsibilities,
& Compensation

  • Attend monthly meetings with other members of the Advisory Board and quarterly meetings with the Editorial Board.

  • Serve on at least one standing committee: 

    • Financial Oversight​

    • Governance (Performance and Composition of Roles at The Cuvette)

    • Research & Development

Board members can vote to enact an equal division of up to a quarter-share of net profits accured by The Cuvette via a co-op business model. Learn more here.
